The Main business of the Company are to carry on the business of financing industrial enterprises, invest in, buy, sell, transfer, hypothecate, deal in and dispose of any shares, stocks debentures (whether perpetual or redeemable debentures), debenture stock, securities, properties of any other company including securities of any Government, Local Authority, bonds and Certificates, to receive money, deposits on interest or otherwise and to lend money (Subject to Section 58A of the Act and Regulations made thereunder and the directions issued of Reserve Bank of India), and negotiate loans with or without security, to guarantee the performance of contracts (Provided that the company shall not do any banking business), Investment Consultants General Finance and Investment, to act as brokers and underwriters and to give any guarantee for the payment of money or the performance of any obligation or underwriting, to secure sound investments of foreign capital in Indian undertaking and enterprises, and Indian Capital in foreign undertakings and enterprises, to invest in, acquire, deal in bullion, other precious metals, precious stones, jewellery and buy, sell and deal, wholesale and retail, Import and export in bullion, precious metals, precious stones, jewellery and articles made of precious metals, precious stones articles of virtue and objects of art, to carry on the business of leasing and hire purchase and/or hire purchase financing and to acquire to provide on lease or to provide on hire purchase basis all types of industrial and office plant equipment, machinery, vehicles, building and real estate required for manufacturing processing transportation and trading business and other commercial and service businesses.
